Note:   Son of Frederick Pellerin and Anne "Nannet" Decoste. Husband of 1) Margaret Richard and 2) Geneive Avery.
  Note: St. Peter's Parish Records include a burial record for a Bernard Pellerin who died 30 Nov 1912 and was buried 2 Dec, age 68. It is the only burial record for a death on 30 Nov. No records have been found that indicate Frederick's name as being Bernard. His name was recorded as Frederick F. Pellerin in the provincial death record. The middle initial would stand for Frederick, his father's given name; it was Acadian tradition to use the father's given name as the middle name for all of the sons. It makes no sense that this individual would have been named Frederick Frederick Pellerin, so it is possible that his given name was Bernard, but it never appeared in any record except the burial record.
  The name listed on the cemetery plaque for burials between 1906-1917 is Bernard Pellerin, which matches the parish burial record.
