 Robert S. WATKINS, the son of Thomas and Sidney WATKINS was born in Allen
 County, Kentucky, March 1, 1861 and died at his home 2 miles southeast of
 Thompsonville December 8, 1922. He came with his widowed mother to this
 community when a young man. He was married to Ellen ISAACS in 1882 and tothis
 union ten children were born, three of whom are deceased, namely, Lutherand
 Harry WATKINS and Mrs. Nettie MARVEL. He is survived by his wife and the
 following children: Mrs. Callie WELSH, Mrs. Hallie ROBBINS, Mrs. LuluJOHNSON,
 George, Dewey, Paul and Maude WATKINS. He also leaves an aged sister,Mrs. Sarah
 DUKE of Thompsonville, Illinois. He was converted thirty years ago at arevival
 at Liberty Church, joining this church and remaining a member there untilhis
 death. He served several years as Constable of Cave township and waslater
 appointed Sheriff of Franklin County.
