Charles E. Baker, age 82, of West Frankfort, IL passed away at 5:56 p.m.Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL. He was bornNovember 20, 1927 in West Frankfort, IL to Dewey and Pearl (Rumsey)Baker. He was a loving father and grandfather and worked for many yearsfor the Standard Service Station and Phillips 66 as a mechanic. Charlesis survived by his daughters: Charlotte (Leroy) Hasenjaeger of WestFrankfort, IL, Keely Clemons of Montgomery, AL; son: Charles Jr. andCheroyl Baker of West Frankfort, IL; eight grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren; and best and lifelong friend; Charlene Baker. He waspreceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Baker; son: Dewey Brian Baker;parents; step-father: Ralph Rumsey; brothers: Carl and Renee Baker, Floydand Clara Rumsey.
