Note: My DNA on Ancestry is show that it is most likely that Randolph Cook's Henderson wife, daughter of Thomas and Frances Henderson is also the mother of Rutha Cook and most likely the mother to the rest of Randolph Cook's kids. I have been looking for the connection betwwen Mary Potter and Randolph Cook. The appraisal below is all of the info that I can find connecting Ranolph Cook to the Potters. If this is what connects Randolph and Mary I question whether this is proof they were married. The other two people on this appraisalare not connected to the Potters. James Bumpass' wife was Sarah Franks whose father was Nehemiah Franks. I think he was the brother to FrancisHenderson who was Ranolph Cook's mother-in-law. Also Robert McNeese's daughter was married to Clayton Cook son of James Cook and would have been cousin to Randolph Cook. Also the Robert McNees below his wife was Mary Henderson whose father was the brother to Clayton Cook's {b1720} wife HenriettaHenderson. My DNA is on Family Tree DNA. There is at least 9 people who descendsthrough Stephen Potter and I do not match any of them. I think that Randolph Cook was not married to Mary Potter and he was only married to a daughter of Thomas Henderson. I have matched many descendants of the Hendersons but I am also connected to them through my Waldrops line. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 May 1797.
