Note: n Herrin hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Benton, to Everett and Belva (Overturf)Marvel. She married Virgil D. Armes. Survivors include her husband, Virgil Armes of West Frankfort; fourdaughters, Tresa Bumgardner of Chicago, Patricia Bacon and Holly Beaverof West Frankfort, Melissa (Tom) Drew of Chandler, Indiana, and Carol(Russell) Hopping of Eudora, Kansas; two sons, William Bacon III (Tammy)and Jerry (Elsie) Dunn, all of West Frankfort; three sisters, KatherynWilson of Benton. Fredia McClintock of Princeton, Indiana, and Judy(Merle Ray) Shurtz of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Marvelof Ava and Eddie Marvel of West Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Fred Conaway; firsthusband, Larry L. Leeper; second husband, Jerry Dunn; grandson, JeremyTennant; sister, Dorothy French; six brothers, Clyde, Roy “Ray,” RaymondLeroy and Jack Marvel; and two infant brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, in Parker-Reedy Funeral Homein West Frankfort, with Merle Ray Shurtz officiating. Burial will be inDenning Cemetery on Orient Road. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m.Monday at the funeral home.
