Thatshe was Married under the name Nancy Canady to said Daniel Bain on the21st day of July Ad 1825 by E. Roberts there being no legal barrier tosuch marriage that her said husband died at the county of Franklin andState of Illinois on the 6th day of December 1868 and that she has notremarried since his death That at no time during the late rebellionagainst the authority of the United States did she or her said husbandadhere to the cause of the enemies of the government giving them aid orcomfort or exercise the functions of any office whatever under anyauthority in hostility to the United States. That she is not in receiptof a pension under any previous act.
