Notes
a. Note:   A lot of people's genealogies has that this Elisha Isaacs who was married to Sarah Gentry was the son of Samuel
Isaacs and Mary Morgan but that is wrong. Samuel Isaacs
had moved to South Carolina by 1786 and his son Elisha
was living there as well and this Elisha Isaacs lived in
Surry County North Carolina. Also Samuel's son Elisha had
moved to Texas and This Elisha died in North Carolina.
Also this Elisha had a son named Ashby as well as grand
kids named Ashby and Godfrey names that fit with him being
a son to Godfrey 1735. Also this Elisha Isaacs was born in
NC this coming from his two sons Samuel and Jesse's 1880
census where they have their father was born in NC. Samuel
Isaacs' son Elisha was born in SC.
I THINK IT IS MOST PROBABLE THAT ELISHA"S FATHER WAS GODFREY!!!
  **********************************************************************
Just another hint that Godfrey Isaacs b1738 was PROBABLY the father to
Elisha Isaacs b1775 from Surry NC. Godfrey and Joseph Gentry (father-
in-law) to Elisha were both connected to John Dean's family in Surry.
They were both on Kezia Dean's will as well in 1787 in Surry Co. NC.
