I William T. Carter of Carterville in the County of Franklin and State of Illinois do hereby make and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows to-wit: First it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Second after the payment of the funeral expenses and debts I give and and bequeath unto my beloved wife SARAH ANN CARTER the farm on which we now reside situated in the County and State of Illinois known and described as part of the west half of the north east quarter- eighteen acres and the south east fourth of the north west quarter thirty seven acres and the north east fourth of the south west quarter forty acres and part of the west half of the south east fourth seven acres part of the west half of the south east fourth seven acres all in section six township seven range 4 east containing in all one hundred and two acres except the lots sold and conveyed on the town plat at Carterville and some lots already sold and conveyed to to hold for her use and benefit during her life and all the live stock consisting of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs, by me owned and kept there on. Also all house hold furniture andother articles of personal property not here numerated or otherwise disposed of in this will during her natural life. After having disposed of a sufficient amount to discharge the expenses and debts and other bequeaths in this will. And at her I death all the property aforesaid which she has not used for her I own use at her own option as she think best for her own benefit and support or so much there of as may remain unexpended of what has been bequeathed to her the said SARAH A. CARTER my wife. All other notes and accounts outstanding for Doctor bills otherwise that can be collected for her own use and benefit during her natural life. Third I give and bequeath to my brother LITTLETON H. CARTER one dollar and to HENRY D. CARTER one dollar and James G. CARTER one dollar and to the heirs of JOHN T . CARTER one dollar and to the heirs of LITTLEBERRY CARTER one dollar and to the heirs of STITH M. CARTER one dollar and to the heirs of my sisters ANNA (AMY T. ) CUNNINGHAM one dollar and my sister NANCY MAY OWENS one dollar and their heirs and assign for ever. And I give and bequeath to MARY SUMMERS two hundred It of the effects of my estate. And I give and bequeath to Arthur L. FROST one certain yellow mare about six years old and all the real estate above mentioned, all the ty and the notes and accounts belonging to my payment of all the expenses and debts and mentioned after the death of my wife be equally divided between GRANT AKIN son of JAMES M. AKIN and William EUBANKS son of GREEN EUBANKS and Richard K CUNNINGHAM son of JAMES CUNNINGHAM and William O. FROST son of L. B. FROST . And lastly I hereby appoint WILLIAM H.MILLER AND JOHN SULLIVAN executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.
