  2. 1850 Census shows her to be age 50 in 1850 which would mean she was born around 1800. However, Trinity Church Parish Register (Protestant Episcopal), Baltimore, MD shows her marriage to Lewis Shackelford in 1805. Therefore, she must have been older than 50 yrs in 1850.
  Birth and Christening dates obtained from John Kennedy.

  Listed with son Thomas but her husband, Lewis Shackelford, was not listed in 1860.
  Also living in household were Lewis Cost, age 15, and Mary Cost, age 18.

  5. Her death notuce appears in the Baltimore Sun in 1870. However, her age in the transcript of the obituary is incorrectly listed as 32.when, in fact, she was 82. This death notice is a transcription of the death notice in the newspaper. It would be very easy for the transcriber to mistake an "8" for a "3' (i.e., age 32 instead of age 82) in an old newpaper.
  In fact, looking at microfilm of her death notice, it clearly states "in the 82d year of her age".
