Writing from Natal on 22 April 1862, to her sister Mary, she says “in a week or two’s time it will be my birthday... I shall be 24.”
Also, if Mary doesn't "make haste" (to join them in Africa, which she never did) "I shall be married before you get here. If you promise to hurry I will wait. It is to this Mr Bloy of Long Stratton, the youngest of the two. The other is married, which came out with us."

Robert Bloy in 1857 came to S Africa, following his brother Francis Richard Bloy who came to Natal with the Alboroughs on the "Jane Morice" in 1855. I (Neil Bloy <nbpmb@iafrica.com>) am descended from Francis. Robert did marry Jane.
