 Northwold is one of the few places in the county for which a census before 1841 containing names survives. There was a census in 1787, showing:
 1. Thos Kitteringham, Labourer, living as a tennant of Sergent Wright, in a household of 1 man , 2 women and 2 children. It seems he shared the property with the household of John Adderson, Shoemaker (household of 1 man, 1 woman, 3 children.)
 2. John Kitteringham, Blacksmith, tenant (in a different household to Thomas).
