Married Miss Donaldson of Allachie in Aberdeenshire, and had issue:
FRANCIS LESLIE, an officer in the East India Company's service, died at Madras, December 1777.
WILLIAM LESLIE, born in June 1759, married, 2d November 1791, Miss Senior, niece of Sir Robert Smith, a general in the Danish service, and Governor of Rendsburg.
ELIZABETH, married to Mr. Magnus, merchant in London, and died 20th June 1787, leaving issue.
JANE, married to John Sanford of Minehead in Somersetshire, and died 8th January 1790, leaving two
sons. *

JOHN SANFORD, of Nynehead; married Hon Jane Anstruther, daughter of Sir Alexander Anstruther, by his wife Baroness Newark (see BURKE'S Dormant and Extinct Peerage), and died 1779.
(seems she was in fact that Alexander Anstruther’s great granddaughter.)

The 4th son David Leslie ANSTRUTHER served in the Bengal Army 1 Jan 1778-12 May 1794. = Feb
1780, at Cossimbazar, nr. Calcutta, Mary DONALDS of the family of DONALDS of Allochie*, and had two sons and three daughters, Mary, Charlotte and Louisa, who married ___ HILLIARD. He is said to have died at Reading c. 1825; his wife Mary deceased 27 July 1827.

* There is a place called Allochie in Aberdeenshire, but it does not seem that the Donaldsons came from there. It should be Allachie in Aberlour.
