 In 1884 Hanna had a son, Bertie Henry Edward, at Cowarr. On 20 Dec 1886 she married Michael. a timber cutter from Tasmania. Bertie took his name and they had a further five children. Michael was killed in a brawl in an outback timber camp but we cannot find it registered anywhere. His brother Christopher had gone over to Cue Western Australia with the goldrush. When he heard of Annie's plight he sent money for her and the children to join him. He supported her and the children.
