 The following notes were written by Jean R Smith in 1996.
 
  
 
 Called "Uncle Harry" he was born at Cowarr in 1873. In 1906 he married Edith Emma Butt, they had four children. Story goes that he went to South Australia. His fourth child was not born in Victoria. My mother thought it was Border Town. She also heard that some of the family were killed in an accident on the way to West Australia. I have photos with letters on the back (no address) from Edith to my grandmother, Trevena. She also asks after Harrie. They became Jehovahs Witnesses and before WW2 used to send these lovely colourful books to Trevena. We children loved to play with them.
