 Anastasia died June 24th 1910 at Stratford and is buried in the Roman Catholic section. I was told there was a headstone, but when I got there it was among one of the many to be vandalised. They gave her age as 85 on her d/c but it should read 80 yrs. Trevena Riley knew her grandmother quite well and would tell me stories. Here are a few, true or false, we will never know. When left a widow with five young children to rear, she took in washing and ironing to keep the family. She used to pay the Aborigines in tobacco to cut her wood and do any heavy work for her. She always insisted that the best jobs to get were in the "Guvment". Her father was a Bootmaker in Kilkenny, Ireland and she had a brother who was a Priest. She was a strict Catholic.
 
 My Grandmother, Trevena, said there was a woman who lived with Anastasia (she thought it was either Anastasia's or William's sister0 who was quite odd. She smoked a pipe and would go around sucking her thumb. She would hide behind doors if anyone came and was generally "touched".
 
 I cannot pick up anything about her. I wonder if it was the daughter Sarah?? I have accounted for the others!!
