Note: The following notes were written by Jean R Smith in 1996.
Worked with his brothers in the wood yard. Then they moved on to Apollo Bay where he eventually selected the land at Barham Valley. He comitted suicide in the hut he lived in there. No one seemed to know why, but with all the paper work I have got I would presume he was worried about the debt he had got into.
