The following notes were written by Jean R Smith in 1996.
Walter served in the 1914 - 1918 War, but I don't think he went overseas. He married Caroline Cawood at Apollo Bay. They had one baby survive, a boy, Allan. He was in the Airforce in WW2 and was killed in New Guinea
