 Trevena worked as a house maid at several places both in Gippsland and Melbourne. She worked for a Joseph Wright (no Relation), when they went to live at Apollo Bay. This is where she met Frederick John Wright whom she later married on 23 May 1908. At first they lived in Apollo Bay. Fred and his brother Edward had bought property out at Barham Valley to turn into a farm. They had to cut this out of the bush. They eventually moved there about 1922 and had a dairy farm. They had ten children.
 
  
 
 Trevena died whilst visiting her Daughter "Tib" at Maffra.
