On 2 June Father and Sarah bade"farewell" to Gertrude, and Gertrude also bade "farewell" to herchild. She still prayed clearly during the last night of herlife. She also bade "farewell" to Klaas (her husband). At 12o'clock noon on 3 June she died, and on 4 June she was buried.Gertrude was 29 years 6 months and one day old.
