Note: On 8 July 1787 Mary had married William Corl/Corle/Carol of Schenectady, NY, who served in the American forces during the Revolution. She remained all her life in Schenectady or vicinity. All her Springer siblings, however, did emigrate to Canada, settling in the Hamilton, Wentworth Co., area, and Delaware Township, Middlesex Co., area (near London, Ont.) Two of Mary's grandsons, sons of David Springer Corl and Jane Elder, did migrate to Canada, eventually settling in Middlesex Co. These grandsons were John and James Carroll, who married sisters, Lydia and Susan Kelley respectively. Lydia and Susan's mother was Mary Christina Springer, sometimes called Mary Springer O'Neil, the wife of Owen Kelley. I would like to correspond with anyone with an interest in this Springer-Carroll-Kelley connection in Ontario. [email protected] http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/20234461/person/917321647 |
