Notes
a. Note:   The Barker's home church is Red House Church, in Semora. Rosa and many of her husbands family are buried in the church cemetery.
Red House Church is located in northeast Caswell County, NC three miles from the Virginia border.
Originally known as Middle Hico Church in 1755, it is one of the oldest churches in North Carolina. The name was changed to Red House Church in 1806. A stage coach stop and (red) house was nearby, this became known as the Red House Community.
Records tell us that there have been four structures built since this Church beginning.
1...The first building erected about 1756 was burned by the British
 Soldiers during the Rev War.
Rev Hugh McADEN who was the Minister, died just before the British
evasion on 20 January 1781. The British Soldiers found his grave, dug up
his body and further mutilated him. They did much damage to the church and
to the home of Rev Hugh McADEN, destroying all of his property except for
small parts of his Journal survive.
Rev Hugh McADEN married Catherine SCOTT of Lunenburg Co. VA
2...The second church, built date unknown, burned in 1806.
3...The third church was erected in 1809 and was painted red. It was used
 for over 100 years.
The pulpit was erected in the front of the church so no one could slip
in unnoticed. This church building was sold to Mr T.M. ALLEN after the
 present day church was built.
4...The present Red House Church was built in 1918.
This is a brick structure, the first three were built of wood.
