Note: NAPLES, Fla. - Mrs. Marie McDonough Washburn, 85, of Naples, formerly of Colonie, died Friday at the Aristocrat in Naples. Mrs. Washburn was born in Cohoes. She was employed by the General Electric Co. in Schenectady as a financial assistant in the tube division until retiring in 1979 after 28 years of service. Mrs. Washburn was a communicant of St. Clare's Church in Colonie before moving in 1987 to Naples, where she was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Church. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. McDonough and Robert G. Washburn. Survivors include two sons, Joseph F. McDonough of The Woodlands, Texas, and Martin J. McDonough of Pittstown, N.J.; a daughter, Maryann McNeish of Wethersfield, Conn.; two sisters, Gertrude Lobdell and Theresa DiCocco; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York, 33 Everett Road, Albany 12205. Arrangements are by the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Latham.
