Joseph Adams Johnston born feb 26 1860 in N B He was the son of John Johnston and Jane Ann
Chamberlain. Joseph died 27 jan 1940in Saint John at the age of 79. He married Martha Elizabeth
Kirkpatrick 31 Oct 1883 . She was born 29 August 1862 in Ontario. She was the dughter of William
Kirkpatrick and Jane Christie. Martha died 9 Nov 1944 at he age of 82
Children of Joseph Adams Johnston & Martha Elizabeth Kirkpatrick were:-
1 Harold E Johnston - born 6 August 1884 in New York
2 Sarah Mae Johnston born 14 Nov 1885 -- She married Chester Richardson- They had one
daughter - Doris Dybes
3 Annie McAllister Johnston born 2 March 1888 -She married three times - 1st Mitchell -
2nd - James Nicholls & 3rd - M. Whelpley.
4 Martha Alberta Johnston born 14 September 1889 died in childhood 19 August 1894 at
the age of 4
5 Ada Blanche Johnston born 5 March 1892 - died in 1977-- She was my Mother
6 Jennie Kathleen Johnston born 15 Oct 1893- died 6 Dec 1908 at the age of 15
7 Joseph Richardson Johnston born Sept 10 1895----died in France in 1st world war
8 William John Johnston born 9 April 1897 in Saint John - lived in Detroit Mich.& died there.
9 Lillian Mildred Johnston born 18 September 1898 died December 1967 -
was Joan"s Mother, Uncle Pat's wife , my Mother' s Sister - my Aunt Lil
10 George Roberts Johnston born 19 May 1900 in NB - Married Emma Hogan from
Petersville,Queens County-- They lived in Bolton, MA.- died there
