Notes
a. Note:   From Shirley (Brown) Day 11/2006.
Everything I have about Alfreda came from Lennart. I imagine he used one of the many programs they have available, but can't be positive of the direct source.
According to Vera (Nordberg) Cruickshank, conversation with Sirley (Brown) Day 9/98, Alfreda Anderson's address at time of birth was 15 Estergoton, Stockholm, Sweden She had a sister---Little Elsa

IKEA ... haven't had time to go shopping there, but I did get to browse the food section and saw a lot of stuff that Grandma Nordberg used to cook. I can't wait to get back there in a couple of weeks and buy some of that Swedish knackebrod (like big round Rye Krisps). I remember Grandma buying a package in Brockton when we went shopping there every Saturday. Then we would stop and visit Aunt Vera and slather her homemade butter all over the knackebrod...yum! Doesn't get any better than that.

Alfrida Andersson was born 15 Mar 1877. Her parents Alexander Andersson and Maria Sofia Johansdottir Elliot were listed on the 1880 Census as residing at "Beijers trädgård N:o 3, 4" (Literally Beijer's Farm). I assume that Alfrida was born there. She at least lived there from the ages of 3 to possibly 13.
Alfrida's father Alexander Andersson was born in Lidhult on 4 Oct 1844. (Actually in a little village near there called Grashult) I've got that line living in that general area back to the early 1600's. The area was part of Denmark until 1658 - so we're Danish.
If you 'drive south on highway E4, between Linkoping and Jonkoping,' you pass within 2 miles of a Church called Stora Aby. Alfrida's mother Maria Sofia Elliot was born there on 10 Jan 1846

"... Alfreda lived in Sweden before she left for America: Värmdögatan 51 D. I think I found the house!"
