Note: ay and Ida Catherine Horning Watson. She was the wife of the late Ralph Shaffer, who died in December 1994. She was a retired interior decorator. She was an active member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Carroll Post 31, where she served in various offices. She was a life member of the Molleville Farm Post 467 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of Westminster Ladies of the Moose and a chartered member of the Westminster Eagles. She belonged to the Brethren faith. Surviving are brothers Leroy Watson and Clarence Watson, both of Westminster and Francis Watson of Union Bridge; sisters Eda Mae Wardenfelt and Ruth Sterner, both of Westminster; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Catherine Elizabeth Watson, Ethel Marie Purdum, David William Watson, James Watson, Gladys Louise Carr, Ida Lillian Carr, Dorothy Ann Watson, Monroe Watson, Charles Watson, Sterling Watson, Richard Watson and John Watson. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. James Lucas officiating. Private interment will be Monday in Garrison Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
