a. Note:   Obituary for Francis "Pappy" Watson Francis Wilbur ``Pappy'b4'b4 Watson, 91, of Union Bridge, died January 29, 2015 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
 Born January 23, 1924 in Westminster, he was the son of the late David W. and Ida Horning Watson. He was the husband of the late Phylis Ann Bosley Watson, who died August 12, 2013 and the late Eleanor Eury Watson, who died September 17, 1978.
 Mr. Watson had been an Equipment Maintenance and Operator for Thomas, Bennett and Hunter for 28 years. He enjoyed making furniture and refurnishing antiques out of his home. He graduated from Union Bridge High School in 1942 and then he served in the Sixth Marine Division from 1943 until 1946 in the Pacific. He was a member of Linganore United Methodist Church and the American Legion, Carroll Post 31.
 Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Benton and Alice Watson and daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Daniel Fritz, both of New Windsor; siblings Edna Warrenfeltz and Clarence Watson of Westminster; grandchildren Jeffrey and wife Diana Fritz of Westminster, Jessica and husband Jeff Little of New Windsor, Matthew and wife Stacy Watson of Wilmington, DE, Shelly Kreit of Westminster and Kim Kreit of Taneytown; great grandchildren Sawyer and Cooper Little and Emily, Ella and Addison Fritz.
 In addition to his wives, he was predeceased by siblings David, John, James, Richard, Charles, Sterling, Monroe, Laroy, Elizabeth, Marie and Dorothy Watson, Ruth Sterner, Lillian and Gladys Carr, and Mabel Shaefer.
 The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor David Coakley of Linganore United Methodist Church. Interment with military honors will follow in Linganore United Methodist Church Cemetery in Unionville.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
