Note: Emil came to America in 1884 when he was 17 yrs old and worked on farms around Ida Grove, Iowa, and saved enough money to send for the rest of the family of seven. He married Augusta Salmonson around 1894, and moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1898 from Minnesota. he was a farmer and cement mason. He moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1923, then to California in 1926 where he died in 1936. Freed is spelled Fred in Sweden and pronounced FRAID. In Swedish, it means PEACE. Hejsan! Albertina and Forest both born in California. Albertinas parents both born in California. Forests father was born in Iowa. Emil was listed as a laborer, Walter as a laborer, Edward as a tile setter, Lloyd as a laborer at the Country Club, Dorothy as a sales lady at a Dept Store.
