a. Note:   e worked at the family fur business at the time of his death he was retired from the custom house. He was a self taught man with very little formal education yet he was a wealth of information. He died of Tuberculosis. He was the husband of Pearl Wood of South Carolina.
 He is listed in the Brooklyn directory in 1933/34 as living with his wife Pearl at 518 Quincy Street,and working as a clerk.
 According to his draft registration (Jun 15 1917) he lived at 251 Clermont ave. He was a clerk at the Bklyn Navy Yard, he was single at this time, he was med. height, med. build, gray eyes and black hair.
 In the 1942 registration he lived at 36 Rochester ave.
 According to Dot Rogers, Frank was arrested and spent time in jail in his younger years. Supposedly he was arrested with Raymond Wilson who also did time. When Frank got out of jail his father refused to let him come back home. His sisters, Ann and Grace, would hide him up in the attic.I don't know yet exactly what the deal was but he later got a job with customs despite the record. There is a Frank J. Rogers listed as a telephone operator living at 154 Carroll Street in 1910.in 1955 he is living at 880 Herkimer St.
 Found Joseph was in jail twice. Info in my geneaogy-Rogers file
