a. Note:   ! John is buried at Cypress Hills National Cemetery.His death certificate (#7223) states that he was a clerk with the U.S.barge office. His last residence was 207 St. James Place Bklyn. and he died at Harbor Hospital at Cropsey and 23 avenue. His burial plot is located in the third row on the right hand side as you enter the cemetery and it is the 37th tombstone in the line. It says on the tombstone that he was a 1st sgt.
 I found a 1920 census for John and Mary listed as: John Rogers 49 yrs.B: Bklyn. Living at:131 Ryerson Street

  Catherine 9 yrs. B: N.Y.
  John 7 yrs. B: N.Y.
 In 1905 John is listed in the Brooklyn directory as a furdresser living at 230 Dresden.
 There is a listing for him in the 1906 Brooklyn directory as being a furrier and living at 83 hall.
 He is also listed in the 1933/34 directory as a clerk and living with his wife at 207 St James Place.
