Note: theast of Waynoka in the Belva community. She died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at her home in rural Major County at the age of 82. She was raised southeast of Waynoka and graduated from Waynoka High School. She was united in marriage to Leon Ira Seiger April 11, 1947 at Medicine Lodge, KS. They made their home southeast of Waynoka where they raised their six sons: Steve, Harold, Ron, Glenn, David and Fred. Violet worked along side her husband and sons on the family farm, as well as, working as a homemaker for her family. Following the death of her husband, Leon Seiger January 28, 1999, she continued to make her home on the family farm. She loved her family very much and always enjoyed family meals and times together. She was past president of the Capron American Legion Auxiliary #287. She is survived by five sons: Harold Seiger of Enid, Ron Seiger of Waynoka, Glenn Seiger of Coos Bay, OR, David Seiger and Fred Seiger both of Waynoka; sixteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren; one brother: Vernon Barnes of Waynoka; three sisters including her twin sister: Viva Bowers of Helena, Darlene Shelite of Waynoka and Lavina Randall of Wichita, KS; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded by one son: Steve Seiger, July 9, 2004, her parents and two infant brothers: Richard and Johnny. The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Ziegler-Lone Star Cemetery directed by the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
