Note: rtation manager for Quality Oil Co. for 20 years. He was born on September 24, 1919, at Valley Falls, KS. He was the son of Walter R. and Georgia A. Slusser-Brown. He lived at Glenwood Springs, CO, five years and spent most of the rest of his life in the Topeka area. He was married to Bertha E. Dennis on June 15, 1939, in Holton, KS. She survives. Other survivors include: four sons, Raymond R. Brown and Byron P. Brown, JR., both of Topeka, KS, Larry R. Brown, Basalt, CO, and Dennis J. Brown, Glenwood Springs, CO; four daughters, Sharon K. Shaw, Georgia A. Shaw, Mary E. Ray, and Martha J. Brown, all of Topeka, KS; two brothers, Walter Brown, Highland, KS and Millard Brown, Topeka, KS; two sisters, Mildred Coons, Niles, MI, and Etha Dryer, Grand Rapids, MI; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery.
