a. Note:   Laramie, Dec. 6, 1897 A young man by the name of Tom
 Lytle had a flnger amputated at Hanna
 yesterday. It was Injured white
 working in the mlne.

 Tom Lytle killed a deer last
 Saturday a short distance north
 of town, where local ninrods with
 hunters' records have looked long
 and in vain for a target in the
 shape of a deer.
  Mar 24, 1905
 One of Del Meglemre's fourhorse
 teams struck a lively gait
 coining from Aladdin on Wednesday
 of this week. While Del was
 at a slight disadvantage the horses
 made a dash and ran for a mile or
 more with a top-heavy load of
 about two tons, crossing Sundance
 creek twice in their reckless right
 without capsizing the wagon. Tom
 Lytle wasin the rear with another
 four-horse string, which he whipped
 up to such a speed as to overtake
 the runaways before any
 damage was done. This is one
 of the clever ways western people
 do things in an emergency.

 in this city from Amiret, Minn.,
 statns that everything is lovely
 there and he likes the country,
 but he is disappointed in his contract
 with Uncle Sam Trunx. It
 is understood that he went to Minnesota
 to work for Uncle Samuel
 onhis farm, beingassuredof steady
 work for one year. Now Tom
 says he is only given twenty-two
 hours' work each day, there being
 two hours of every twenty-four:
 that he is out of employment.

 months, returned home last night.
