a. Note:   ay at his home following a long illness. He was a boiler fireman at Warren Air Base until his retirement in 1950. Surviving are his wife, Carrie, five sons, Virgil, Alvin, Melvin, Orville and Vernon, all of Cheyenne; four daughters, Mrs. (Eva) Herman Rabe, Fairbury, Neb.; Mrs. (Velma) Clair Pixley, Mrs. (Viola) Jacob Wittig and Mrs. (Elva) Lester Myer, all of Cheyenne; five brother, William; Eldon, Mo., Elmer; Langdon, Mo., Arthur; Omaha, Neb., Ben; Alabama, and Roy; Eldorado Springs, Mo., Also surviving are 40 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Schrader Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
