a. Note:   ice Home. She was the loving wife of Jack C. Swaney to whom she was married 63 years.
  Mrs. Swaney was born on November 25, 1930 in Randolph County a daughter of the late Jesse Clark and Cora Velna (Davis) Crotts. She was a former employee of High Point Chair for 13 years until her retirement.
  She enjoyed tending to her flower garden; and when she was younger, assisting with Meals on Wheels. She was a talented seamstress who made many wedding gowns and bridal party gowns.
  She was a member of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting.
  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Swaney is survived by three daughters, Shirley Price and husband, Charles of High Point, Elaine Price and husband, Tommy of Sophia, and Pamela Worley and husband, Sterling of Sophia; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Phillips and husband, Melvin of Sophia, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Noah Ray Turpin and a brother, Jacob Clark Crotts.
  A celebration of life funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting, 3676 Hoover Hill Road, Trinity, with Rev. Brian Donley and Rev. Britt Groom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held in the fellowship hall following burial.
