Mrs. Jane Albright, Who Died This Morning Was Born in 1822 and Was 94 Years Old
Mrs. Jane Albright, 94 years old and who lived to know and mingle with five generations of her family, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Kroger, in the east part of the city, this morning at 9 o'clock. Her death was due to advanced age and hardening of the arteries.
Mrs. Albright was born in Indiana in September 1822, and was six months past her 94th birthday at the time of her death. She witnessed the "falling of the stars" when she was nine years old and has told the story to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grand-children.
She was twice married and was the mother of seven children, three of whom survive her. They are Tom Benbow, Mrs. Koger and Mrs. Elrich, all of whom live in or near Columbus.
For more than 40 years Mrs. Albright lived on a farm 2½ miles southeast of Columbus, where her son now resides. About six weeks ago she left the farm and came to Columbus to be with Mrs. Koger.
Funeral services will be held from the Koger home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Wm. Campbell, pastor of the United Brethren church, and interment will be made in the Timber Hill Cemetery southeast of Columbus.
