'On Friday 10th august 1917, private Arthur Westbrook died at the railhead in Egypt where general Allenby was preparing his attack on the Turkish line at Beersheba. He was buried in the little cemetery at Deir el Beulah, south of Gaza. Since there was no fighting at this time, his death must have been the result of an accident or disease[in fact he died of wounds]. He was just 23 years old'
