  ******************** it seems that at some stage james and charlotte no longer attended the wield church in which they were married and theire first 3 children were christened in. As of 1867 the daughter amy and the following children were not christened there.which church they attended between the years 1866 and 1873 remains a mistary i've yet to uncover. they deffintly attended the mitcheldiver primitive methodists (andover cuircit) as of 1873 as urbans christening appears in the registers as do the rest of the following children. i looked at the originals and there is a gap between the years 1863 and 1872. the last christening of the children in st james wield was elizabeths in 1865 and the first in the methodist regs was urban. with no christenings being recorded in the methodist records as of 1863 until 1873 leaves the question of where did the 3 missing childrens christenings take part. the affiliation to the methodist church must have carried on for the rest of their lives as the burial records for wield parish church for both james and charlote has an entry next to their names stating that they were buried under the burial laws amendment act of 1880. No other burial seem to have had this added as a note. To be buried under the Burial Laws Amendment Act of 1880 normally means that the person buried was a non-conformist; the burial service was performed by a Non-Conformist minister, but in a Church of England church, as the burial was going to take place in the churchyard. Before that time, non-conformists could not be buried in parish churchyards.
