******************** it seems that at some stage james and charlotte no longer attended the wield church in which they were married and theire first 3 children were christened in. As of 1867 the daughter amy and the following children were not christened there. instead they attended the mitcheldiver primitive methodists (andover cuircit). This affiliation to the church must have carried on for the rest of their lives as the burial records for wield parish church for both james and charlote has an entry next to their names stating that they were buried under the burial laws amendment act of 1880. No other burial seem to have had this added as a note. To be buried under the Burial Laws Amendment Act of 1880 normally means that the person buried was a non-conformist; the burial service was performed by a Non-Conformist minister, but in a Church of England church, as the burial was going to take place in the churchyard. Before that time, non-conformists could not be buried in parish churchyards.
