Note: ates that he was born at 46 Rawstone street Clarkenwell. they were still living there during the 1881 census also present was my great grandmother Ellen Vernon listed as daughter and she is shown in both the 1871 and 1881 census as Hannah's daughter. it should be noted that in the 1871 census John and Hannah are at different addresses .Hannah is listed as married where as John is listed as unmarried and with his mother. it seems that Hannah married john's brother Edward in 1862 this matches the birth record that states that daughter Ellen's father was an Edward. Edward was in Coventry during the 1871 census but he too is listed as unmarried. it seems that Edward died in Coventry in June q 1875 aged 33 leaving Hannah free to move in with John but it appears they never married. John seems to have died or disappeared within 10 years of the 1881 census being taken the only other reference found is that of the birth of their daughter fanny in 1883. Hannah was not to be alone for long as by the 1891 census she was with John and Edwards elder brother Thomas. he too was to die within the 10 years following the 1891 census.
