  i have found a record for a john butling born about 1797 in northamptonshire who acording to the 1851 census Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 1524; Folio: 278; Page: 12; GSU roll: 87858, was an organ builder. he is living in london. of course if this is james brother or uncle or cousin it would explain why or how george h adams become an organ builder.
