Gorton, gave a small party, when friends and grand-children tendered their congratulations. Among those present were Mesdames R. Gumprich The death occurred on Fri day morning of Mrs. R. Gumprich, an old resident of the Murray district. Admitted to the Murray District Hospital on Thurs day, her sudden demise came as a shock to the many who knew her so well. Aged 80, Mrs. Gumprich had celebrated her birthday in happy spirits on September 29. Born in England, she came to WA in 1920 and with her husband settled on a farm be tween Mandurah and Pin jarra. When ill-health overtook Mr. Gumprich, they moved to West Coolup and remained in that area till just prior to the 2nd world war and settled in George-st, Pinjarra. In recent years, Mrs. Gump rich has been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Gorton. Mr. Gorton, who has again been in ill-health, has been residing in Perth. An only son, Victor, died suddenly last September. Mrs. Gorton is her only daughter. Following the service at St. John's Church, a large crowd paid their last respects at the Pinjarra cemetery on Monday morning.
