******************** Eliza Stevens nee (Adams) died
3/1/1968 at my parents house 5 Broomfield Rd Sevenoaks, Kent
And was cremated at Tunbridge wells crematorium
Aunty was living in London with my grandmother and was a victim of the flue epidemic of the time and was taken to a London Hospital by Ambulance she was nearly 100 years old, on the way to the hospital she sat up in the ambulance and started to take her hair curlers out of her hair.The ambulance crew asked her what she was doing, her reply was: - Well you never know what lovely young man you might meet!!!
As there was nothing they could do for her and of her great age she was sent home
As my Grandmother was also unwell they both came down to Sevenoaks and aunty died a day or two after in her sleep
