Notes
a. Note:   Originally the family name was Von Weigand. According to Harry Weigand, his parents lived in Baden Baden and Tauberbischofsheim, Germany. Both of Longin's parents were born in Germany, according to the 1900 census. Longin is listed on the ship's passenger list for "Neckar" (? sailed from Bremen) which arrived in New York March 2, 1885; his age was listed as 31, occupation farmer. He rented a farm in Newark. Lina's husband and son were killed in WWII and she stayed to care for relatives.
The family moved to a farm in Pomona where Al and his wife Peg lived with their two daughters until there was a fire on Christmas Eve. The 1920 census lists their address as Mays Landing Rd., Atlantic Co., NJ.
