In June 1902, after his grandfather, James Simpson, died, Leonard was moved to Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland, Oregon and buried in the Simpson plot. His gravestone reads Dec 10, 1899. The date in his mother's bible was Dec 12, 1899 - Age 3 months and 9 days".
