Licetta Duncan married Thomas after your ancestor Theophilus Nichols died in the civil war. I see that you have traced Licetta geneology back through the 1700s. Can you tell me if you have original that shows this? My grandfather remembered there being a "Pigg" family name in our lineage, as you show. If you have original documents, can you tell me what they are? I would like have some certainty about our ancestors. I thought the name of "Pigg" was so strange when my mom told me about it when I began looking into our ancestry. Over 40 years ago, when my grandfather, Eugene Reeves, died, my grandmother wrote in his memorial book the surname Pigg as an ancestor. Therefore, I believe your cousins must be right, unless everyone was wrong about the name. Do you know if there are any pictures available of Licetta Duncan and/or her family. Also, do you have any idea why Licetta and Thomas F Reeves, my ancestor, moved to Travis Texas when they lived so far North. I was wondering if it was because Thomas was a corporal on the union army during the civil war and perhaps he was stationed in Texas to fight the enemy there. Do you know how your aunts acquired their information about the family? And if your cousins in Texas have their own original documents to support their entries? If you have any interest in the reeves family after Licetta married Thomas I can give you what I know. It's another tragic story, like for your ancestor Theophilus. But I would assume you like are not as interested in people that are not in your direct lineage. It would just take too long. Thanks for giving me the name of the book. (The Trail Blazer) I'll try to find it. And I think I probably copied most of my tree before Licetta from your tree. I'm just trying to verify everything since the evidence doesn't come from sources on ancestry.com. I live in Texas also like your cousins. Near Houston.
