Jesse moved to Austin with his wife Abigail Moore and they had at least 3 children: William, Carrie and Jesse. My Tom lived with them until they had a falling out. Allen took in Denny and we lost track of both of them. Truth is we assumed that my great grandmother told about the brothers bringing Tom and Denny to Texas we thought she was talking about NICHOLS, and she always said their names were Lon and Wes, but actually were Len and Jess. It goes to show you that family stories are not always correct, but they are pretty darn close. (Cathy James, 12 Nov 2012) My Note: Aunt Dora Duncan's notes listed only Jesse Allen and not a Jesse and an Allen. I have not found Jesse yet, so that must lead credence to the notion that the Jesse Allen was one person, not two. He died at a Confederate Hospital in Austin btw of tuberculosis. I will look again. (Cathy James, 13 Nov 2012) Round Rock Cemetery Record: Name: J. A. Duncan Born: 9 Dec 1840 Died: 5 Mar 1906 The records have the last name spelled Dungan.
