S. C. Men: The 1944 edition of the "Annual Review of Biochemistry", a Stanford University Press publication, often called the "Bible" of biochemistry, contains and article contributed by Drs. C. W. Duncan and C. F. Huffman of Michigan State College. Contributions to the annual review are made only at the invitation of its publishers and this is the first time that M. S. C. men have received this honor. Doctor Huffman holds another record in that he was the first recipient of the "Borden Award", in 1937. This award came to him in recognition of his contributions to the field of diary production. He was also the first on the campus to be accorded this honor. (In 1955, Dr. Clifford Duncan, also received the Borden Awarded). The article written by Doctors Duncan and Huffman is a world survey of common nutritional deficiencies prevalent in farm animals which are dependent upon natural feed conditions of the localities, along with recommended remedies for the dietary lacks. Doctor Duncan, for 15 years a chemical research expert on the M. S. C. staff, has collaborated with Doctor Huffman in carrying out laboratory research connected with the various dairy experimental projects.
