Note: According to my Aunt Ruth Simpson-Haley: Maggie came from Ireland to California in the care of her older sister, Bridget Williams-O'Toole and Bridget's husband, John O'Toole. James and Maggie were married by the Mayor of Stockton, California. Later they moved north to Shasta City, California.
Maggie died from child birth of their second daughter, Margaret Ann.
