A copy of a letter I have from the Swiss Civil Registry office, dated 23 Oct 1967, to Clara Hoffman lists Elise Hertig, date of birth 18 May 1881.
Elise was born in Langenbuhl, Canton Bern, Switzerland. Her family immigrated to Iowa in October 1881. She only lived a very short time and the exact date of death and her location of burial is not known.
