(1) Rawlings, of Saunder's Hill, county Cornwall, Pasdow, county Cornwall, and county Hereford, England; (2) Rawlins, of Wakering, county Essex, England, granted January 2, 1560; (3) Rawlins or Rawlyns, Kilreige, county Hereford and Middle Temle, London, England, 1610; (4) Rawlins or Rawlyn, Dublin, Ireland, entered in Ulster Office, 1658.
  (1) William Rawlings, Esq.,of Pasdow County Cornwall was the son of Thomas Rawlings, Esq., of Saunder's Hill, county Cornwall, by his wife Margery, daughter and co-heir of Thomas Price, Esq., of Tregolds.
  (4) Giles Rawlyn buried at St. Werburgh's Church, Dublin, Ireland.
  Henry's father and uncle are reputed to have arrived in this county from England as stowaways. One of them was supposed to be Lord Rawlings. One settled in Maryland and one in Virginia.

  Data received from Koren Fae Rawlings of West Virginia relates a similar story to our family's oral traditions. There were four Rawlings brothers who came to America from England. One settled in southern Virginia, one in Baltimore, MD, one in Chicago, IL and one in Dorchester Co, MD (This was Cassidy Rawlings.)
